Things to do in Netherlands
The Netherlands is compact, confident, and far more varied than its flat profile suggests.
The Netherlands makes a strong first impression with canals, bikes, brick gables, and museum culture, but the country has more range than the postcard allows. North Sea dunes, university towns, design-minded cities, reclaimed landscapes, flower fields, and harbor neighborhoods all reveal different versions of Dutch life.
This is one of Europe's easiest countries to explore by train, though staying longer in one base can be just as satisfying. April is famous for tulips and crowds, summer brings long evenings, and fall is underrated for museums, cafes, and calmer city streets.
