The stops we'd build a Barcelona trip around

One honest pick per place, and why. Open any for the full verdict. The planner arranges these into your days for you.

  • Sagrada Familia Worth it

    Go.

  • Park Guell Worth it with caveats

Worth it for the mosaic terrace, the serpentine bench, and the gatehouses, as long as you go in knowing it is a busy…

  • Casa Batllo Worth it with caveats

The most immersive of the Gaudi houses, strong on the rippling facade, the blue light well, and that rooftop.

  • Picasso Museum Worth it

A focused look at how Picasso became Picasso, set in gorgeous old palaces.

  • MNAC Worth it

A big museum where one section, the Romanesque frescoes, is genuinely world-class, set in a palace with one of the…

  • Santa Maria del Mar Worth it

The calmest, most unified Gothic interior in the old city, free to peek into during worship hours and worth the small…

  • Hospital de Sant Pau Worth it

One of Barcelona's most rewarding under-visited monuments, especially if you care about architecture.

  • Casa Mila (La Pedrera) Worth it

A top-tier Gaudi visit, strongest for its rooftop and for understanding how experimental his residential architecture…

Good to know before you plan

Where we would spend carefully, or not at all.

  • Park Guell Worth it with caveats Worth it for the mosaic terrace, the serpentine bench, and the gatehouses, as long as you go in knowing it is a busy ticketed zone rather than a quiet green space. Since 2020 even the wider park is regulated, with free entry kept for local residents.
  • Casa Batllo Worth it with caveats The most immersive of the Gaudi houses, strong on the rippling facade, the blue light well, and that rooftop. If you are paying into several Gaudi houses on one trip, this is the one where the overlap starts to show, so it can be the one to cut.
  • Camp Nou Worth it with caveats Worth it for Barça fans, and best of all if you can pair the museum with a real match. For non-fans, the renovation caveat, the price, the crowds, and the out-of-the-way location all push it below Barcelona's best sights.
  • La Rambla Worth it with caveats Walk it once, early in the morning. The street really is impressive, and the Liceu, La Boqueria, and the Miró mosaic all earn your time. Skip the terrace restaurants, keep your phone out of sight, and do not hang around once the crowds roll in.

Barcelona planner FAQ

How does the Barcelona itinerary planner work?

What is worth booking ahead in Barcelona?

Sagrada Familia is the one most people should book in advance. Go.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

Two to three days covers the essentials for most travelers. The planner lets you set anywhere from one to seven days and fills each one around what is genuinely worth your time in Barcelona.

Is the Barcelona planner free?

Yes. No sign-up, and we never take payment to place anything in your plan. You book tickets through trusted partners at the same price as their own sites.
