The stops we'd build a Dubai trip around
One honest pick per place, and why. Open any for the full verdict. The planner arranges these into your days for you.
- Burj Khalifa Worth it
Go up once; this is the Dubai view.
- The Dubai Mall Worth it
A free anchor for a Dubai day.
- Palm Jumeirah Worth it with caveats
Worth a look, but it is mostly residential and resort land, so what you get is what you pay to add.
- Dubai Marina Worth it
Go for the free waterfront walk past the towers and along the JBR beach.
- Dubai Creek and Old Dubai Worth it
A cheap, genuine slice of old Dubai: the gold and spice souks, the wind-tower lanes, and a low-fare abra across the…
- Ski Dubai Worth it
A genuinely fun novelty: real snow and penguins indoors in the desert.
- The Green Planet Worth it
A small but genuinely well-made indoor rainforest where you get unusually close to free-flying birds and sloths.
- Global Village Worth it
A sprawling, lively seasonal festival park that is genuinely fun for an evening of eating, shopping and shows, as long…
Good to know before you plan
Where we would spend carefully, or not at all.
- Palm Jumeirah Worth it with caveats Worth a look, but it is mostly residential and resort land, so what you get is what you pay to add. Driving or riding the monorail across is the free part; The View and the waterpark are the paid reasons to come.
- Ain Dubai Worth it with caveats Best as a sunset or night-view experience paired with Bluewaters, JBR, or Dubai Marina rather than as a standalone cross-city trip.
- Burj Al Arab Worth it with caveats Worth seeing from outside, especially from Jumeirah Public Beach or Kite Beach. Only pay to go in if the hotel-glitz is the whole point of the visit, and only if the current restoration schedule allows it.
- Gold Souk Worth it with caveats Come for the gold displays, the old-Deira streets, and how easily it pairs with the Spice Souk and an abra ride. Do not come expecting a relaxed shop or a guaranteed bargain.
